Drink Drive Office Party

Studies show that drinking increases almost 27% between Thanksgiving and the 2nd of January and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that two to three times more people are killed by drunk drivers during this period of time than at any other point in the year.

This public information film on the dangers of drunk-driving, targeted at office parties was produced in 1964 . It uses a montage of still images to show an office Christmas party while a male voice-over and diagrams give details of the increased risk of car accidents after drinking different quantities of alcohol. Note the polite, safe tone compared to today’s drunk driving campaigns.
